Headquartered in Mumbai, GoAir was established in June 2004 by the Wadia Group, majority owners of Bombay Dyeing and Britannia Industries. This low cost airline is based in Mumbai and operates domestic passenger services to 13 cities with 385 weekly flights. This relatively new, no frills airline offers great fares and deals year round, within all major sectors of India. Being established on 9th June, 2005 it is a new venture which took after soon after it came up. He aimed at commoditizing air travel as airline is a low cost carrier and providing air travel service at marginally higher train rates across the country.
GoAIR FLEET
GoAir operates three A320 aircrafts with a single class, 180-seat configuration and plans to expand its fleet to 33 aircrafts in three years.
GOAIR SECTORS
The”Fly Smart Airline”, GoAir’s route network spans prominent business and leisure destinations across India, providing cheap ticket air travel to its passengers. The route network will provide a 'value for money' option for both business and leisure travellers, without compromising on either safety or service. The airline operates between popular sectors like Mumbai to Ahmedabad, Delhi to Mumbai, Chennai to Delhi, Bangalore to Ahmedabad and Mumbai to Goa, among others. GoAir will soon cover more routes like Bhavnagar, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Rajkot, Bhopal, Madurai and Kozhikode, at competitive prices in the coming months. Adding new destinations to facilitate travel will be a part of GoAir's aggressive strategy. |
